Tom Halpenny, Dip. Ag.
Tom Halpenny is an established agricultural business consultant providing strategic planning and policy development for public and private clients.
Throughout his career, Halpenny has worked with a diverse spectrum of clients including the Canadian Wheat Board and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. He has a solid grounding in the area of agricultural policy development, having served as Special Advisor to the Premier of Saskatchewan (1994-95) and as Assistant to the Minister of Saskatchewan Agriculture and Food (1992-94).
As Manager of Farm Marketing Services for the Canadian Wheat Board in Winnipeg (1995-98), he was responsible for the development and implementation of marketing strategies for the organization.
Halpenny began his career in agriculture as a self-employed farmer and custom trucking operator. He later served as a sessional lecturer at the University of Saskatchewan, Department of Agriculture Economics.
As the founder of Triticum Management Consulting, Halpenny has established a reputation for developing innovative, comprehensive solutions to suit his clients’ exact needs.

In a new independent online poll conducted immediately following the televised provincial debate on Tuesday, October 25th, 60.0% of decided voters say they plan to vote for the Saskatchewan Party in the upcoming provincial election. One third (33.3%) of decided voters say they would cast their ballot for the provincial NDP and 2.8% would vote for the provincial Liberal Party. Another 3.0% would vote for the Green Party, and roughly equal proportions would either vote for another party (0.3%) or spoil their ballot (0.6%). These findings are very consistent with several past waves of independent polling conducted by Insightrix Research.
