SMS Surveys
Insightrix’s SMS data collection tool provides instant feedback and utilizes mobile phone technology to capture real-time responses from customers, employees, and the general public. It is convenient, accurate, and cost effective.
SMS Surveys
Using SMS messaging, anyone with a text-enabled mobile phone can participate in a survey. A valuable addition to Insightrix’s other data collection methodologies, mobile SMS surveys provide access to people wherever they are! This ‘in the moment’ aspect is critical, as feedback collected immediately after an event is more accurate than feedback collected one or two weeks later. In Canada, with approximately 70% of residents over the age of 14 having a cell phone, SMS surveying is a powerful new data collection technique.
How it Works
There are two options available when administering SMS surveys: inbound and outbound. Inbound, as seen on TV shows like Canadian Idol, is administered by having your target audience punch in a short string of numbers (a short code) on their cell phone, along with a response. Imagine having your patrons send you instant feedback while they are checking out of your hotel, or have consumers who just saw your ad provide comments on the ad! Just place mobile survey keywords in ads, in stores, or on coupons or bills and watch your results come in!
The other method for administering mobile SMS surveys is outbound. This is possible if you know the cell phone numbers of your target audience, in which case we simply send a mobile survey invitation and subsequent questions to potential respondents. The questions can be programmed to be sent one at a time as separate text messages, each one sent after the previous question was answered, or all at once. The survey technology enables skip logic so that only certain questions are asked of those for whom they are applicable.

Feature / News
In a new independent online poll conducted immediately following the televised provincial debate on Tuesday, October 25th, 60.0% of decided voters say they plan to vote for the Saskatchewan Party in the upcoming provincial election. One third (33.3%) of decided voters say they would cast their ballot for the provincial NDP and 2.8% would vote for the provincial Liberal Party. Another 3.0% would vote for the Green Party, and roughly equal proportions would either vote for another party (0.3%) or spoil their ballot (0.6%). These findings are very consistent with several past waves of independent polling conducted by Insightrix Research.
